The Wind Blows All Types of Creatures to the Beach
The waves were docile and the wind was wrong. A couple grasshoppers were blown to the heat of the beach, along with some flying demons from the pit of hell!
Apparently last year year the weather was in my favor and whenever I went to the beach there were waves. The last two trips proved to be fairly calm so my future trips will be preceded with a check of the surf (not necessarily the forecast).
Thankfully the company at the beach was better than the stable flies and grasshoppers.

Notes: Taken on a hot summer day after a long walk down the shore. This was my second beach panorama and without a way to mask my shadow I didn’t hold much chance of a decent outcome. The waves weren’t worth surfing and I needed a break so I gave it a try. The results turned out better than expected and with some cleaning up and a nadir cap and it would be ship shape.

Take a Chance by Lost and Found
Lost and Found has been a favorite band for.. .. umm.. more than half my life. Songs from “This” and “Sikkibahm” have been staples on my mix lists for years and some of my favorite times growing up were centered around Lost and Found concerts. The time finally came to update my play lists, what better to add than “Something”!
Heard “Take a Chance” for the first time while headed to the beach for a weekend surfing trip. What a great song and I apologize for taking it out of context.

The water at Island Beach State park was spectacularly clear. Never have I seen (or could have imagined) the ocean of the New Jersey shore so beautiful. The waves were exciting with intermittent rollers suitable for surfing.
